Delightful 3D Icons Are All In The Public Domain And Absolutely Free

By day, Vijay Verma is a designer for India’s leading food delivery app Zomato. At least in the last few months, though, he’d been pouring his late nights into learning how to create models on Blender, and ended up designing a fun set of 3D icons.
The pack, simply called ‘3dicons’, features over 120 unique 2,400 x 2,400-pixel icons in four color styles—clay white, gradient, color, and premium—and three camera angles. In total, there are more than 1,440 rendered PNG files (plus Figma files and a 3D software-compatible .fbx version) for your perusal.

The set comes under a Creative Commons CC0 license, which means it belongs in the public domain and can be used in any way, whether for a personal or commercial project, for free. Use it, remix it, or trace it shapes—it’s entirely up to you.

“I hope this resource will make it easier for designers and content creators to produce beautiful and effective designs in less time,” says Verma.

Counting web hosting and domain name registration, the designer is paying approximately US$8 per month to run the project. So, you might wonder, why are these free?
“Releasing ‘3dicons for free in no way means I am diminishing the worth of other artists’ work,” Verma emphasizes. Rather, it’s an acknowledgment that some creatives are just starting out and need the help. By sharing these resources, he hopes to give their learning process a headstart so they’ll find work more quickly.
