Floating Luxury Resort In Dubai Will Have Villas That Can ‘Sail’ Elsewhere

Luxury hotelier Kempinski will soon be opening a floating hotel in ultra-luxurious metropolis of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Named the Kempinski Floating Palace, the resort will consist of a floating building surrounded by 12 floating villas when it’s expected to open in 2023.
Interestingly, these villas won’t have to stay anchored to the main building, but rather will be able to “sail” to other anchorages if its owners so wish. The hotel will be situated near one of the city’s most exclusive beaches, already populated with luxury travel spots for tourists from all over the globe.
According to Interesting Engineering, the hotel’s main floating palace will be split into four parts, all connected via a glass pyramid in the middle. Guests will be able to enjoy five-star hotel offerings, such as gourmet restaurants, bars, a spa, pools, and even access to larger yachts to sail in and out of the property.
The 12 villas, which are connected by pontoons to the main structure, will be partly available for sale, though hotel guests can also rent them. The villas will come with two, three, or four bedrooms, including indoor and outdoor living rooms. It will even boast full service crew and staff rooms so you’ll be waited on hand and foot 24/7.
Not to mention, each villa is decked out in high-quality, elegant designs duplex-style with smart home features, each with its very own roof terrace to relax on and an infinity pool to enjoy a picturesque swim.
As they “sail,” the structures will be able to travel at a maximum speed of six nautical miles, running on eco-conscious energy harvested from solar panels.
In addition to the luxury villas, guests can choose from 156 other rooms and suites as well. Just note that you’d be expected to arrive at the resort on your own speed boat or yacht—or, if you’d rather travel in a helicopter, there’ll be a helipad for you to land on, too.
