Tesla Offers Free Use Of Superchargers During Off-Peak Hours For Holidays

Tesla has announced that electric car owners can make use of its Superchargers free of charge during off-peak hours in the holiday season, as part of a plan to manage traffic at charging stations.
According to Electrek, Tesla’s Supercharger locations had previously been overwhelmed during festivities, such as when popular routes in California during Thanksgiving in 2018 saw snaking queues and 40-minute time limits.
Since then, it has trialed discounted prices during off-peak hours, and this time, is going a step further to make it completely free.
Supercharging will now cost nothing before 10am and after 7pm at 76 stations across the nation, starting December 23 and ending December 26. Locations include stations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah.
