Rolex May Have Sneakily Increased The Prices Of Its Most-Coveted Watches
If you’re thinking of snagging a luxury gift for yourself, the best time to do so may be as soon as possible. Chanel’s handbag prices have hiked nearly 60% since the pandemic started two years ago, and now, Rolex has increased the prices of its watches, too.
First spotted by Professional Watches, prices of the brand’s most iconic timepieces have gone up by 3.4% on average. The Classic Watches collection, which includes the Oyster Perpetual and Day-Date, had the smallest price increase, though the Professional Watches, such as the Daytona and Submariner, went up the most.
A 41mm Stainless Steel Oyster Perpetual that sold for US$5,900 last year is now going for US$6,150—an increase of 4.2%. More striking is the new price of the Stainless Steel Submariner, which has hiked from US$8,100 in 2021 to US$8,950 as of now, charting a dramatic increase of 10.5%, as per Hypebeast.
While it’s uncertain if the prices of some of the world’s most-coveted watches will continue to increase, if Chanel’s example is anything to go by, it’s safe to assume prices will continue to surge as time goes on.
