Fancy indulging in drug-free “psychedelic trips” while on a shopping trip? If that’s a resounding yes, Selfridges has got you covered.
The luxury departmentstore has announced that, beginning February 28, its outlets will offer services to take visitors “on a journey of uplifting self-discovery and nurturing self-care” as part of its Superself campaign.
According to The Guardian, if you’re itching to try a new wellbeing service, you’ll be able to choose from a “sex life reboot” by clinical psychologist and psycho-sexologist Dr Karen Gurney, a confidence coaching session, or “creative breakthrough” with a hypnotherapist.
The drug-free “psychedelic trips” will take place in pods by technology firm Sensiks, where visitors will be greeted with “bespoke fragrances, infrared light, heat, and sound” to aid them in drifting through a “calming universe.” The experience is akin to a short meditation, said the department store.
As per Fashion United, shoppers will be treated to specially curated products in line with the theme of self-care, with myriad lifestyle and beauty offerings—such as vitamin brands, salon appointments, and skin treatments—being made available throughout the year.
To round up the entire campaign, artist Juliette Minchin will take over Selfridge’s Oxford Street display for four days this month, showcasing a “work in progress” installation.
