LEGO Lets You Build Your Own McLaren F1 Car With 1,432-Piece Set

Fans of motorsport can now build their very own McLaren F1 model with the latest 1,432-piece LEGO Technic set, which features the team’s 2021 papaya orange and royal blue livery with an interpretation of the new 2022 look. 

This marks the first-ever licensed F1 car to come to LEGO Technic, and will be available from March 1, 2022.

The automaker said the model was “designed by LEGO Group design experts with support from the McLaren F1 race team,” so you know it’s had the endorsement of the minds behind the real-life supercar. 

According to Autosport, the LEGO model features a V6 cylinder engine with moving pistons, steering that can be activated from the cockpit, and even a differential lock.

It measures five inches in height, 25.5 inches in length, and 10.5 inches in width.

“We are excited to unveil the unique LEGO Technic model of our McLaren F1 car, a fun and engaging product that celebrates our 2021 season livery while giving fans a hands-on interpretation of the new 2022 F1 car design,” said McLaren’s Technical Director, James Key.
