Apple Filings Show Three New Macs As Spring Launch Event Draws Closer

Previously, it was speculated that Apple would be holding a product launch event next month, with hints dropped by renowned Apple analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. 


Now, newly-seen filings suggest that big things are coming soon. Consomac has revealed that the tech giant has recently registered three new Macs in the Eurasian regulatory database. 


These carry the numbers A2615, A2686, and A2681, and are described to be laptops and desktops—MacBooks and iMacs, perhaps.

MacRumors notes that Apple will often file new products close to launch due to legislation, and last month two new listings for what may be the new iPhone SE and next iPad Air cropped up as well. 


Gurman previously stated that a new Mac was on the way alongside the two aforementioned devices, which is looking to be one of the trio. 


Gizmodo points out that in a previous announcement regarding the M1 chips, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the firm’s plans to transition away from Intel within the next two years. Only three products are left, which are the iMac Pro, the high-end Mac Mini, and the Mac Pro.
