Basketball Signed By Obama, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James From Private Game On Sale
For his 49th birthday in 2010, former president Barack Obama held a star-studded basketball game that saw the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Magic Johnson on the court.
Now, a basketball from the day’s event with signatures of Obama, Bryant, James, Anthony, and Johnson is heading to Heritage Auctions as part of its Winter Platinum Night Sports Auction.
After the game, which also featured more recent basketball stars such as Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose, and Joakim Noah, some of the players were treated to a barbecue at the White House, as per AP News.
Each autograph on the basketball has been graded, and according to Robb Report, Obama’s and Bryant’s received a 9/10 rating, the highest available.
In addition, the buyer will be presented with a letter of authenticity by PSA/DNA.
At the moment, the bid has skyrocketed to US$25,113—double the US$12,000 estimate the auction house had listed it at. Bidders have till February 27 to make submissions.
