Balenciaga Unveils ‘HardCrocs’, For Practical Goths Who Want To Look Tall

If eyeliner isn’t enough to help you stand out, perhaps a little elevation could allow you to finally let your goth flag fly.
Balenciaga and Crocs have unleashed ‘HardCrocs’, a pair of rubber clogs that amplify the already-outrageous quality of Crocs with an all-black colorway, metal ornaments, and height. The footwear toes the line between flashy and comfortable, inviting its wearer to unyieldingly express their individuality.
The hardcore Crocs arrive with a chunky 110mm (4.3-inch) platform, on top of a 10mm arch. Balenciaga’s branding sits on its strap, and again on the heel, toe, and outsole in the form of silver metal plaques. Meanwhile, metal screws and bolts are anchored onto the platform.
HardCrocs have opened for preorder online, retailing for US$950. They’ll also head to Balenciaga’s boutiques soon.
