DocGo Debuts The First All-Electric, Zero-Emission Ambulance In United States

DocGo, a leading provider of mobile medical services and transportation, has unveiled its all-electric & zero-emission ambulance, the “first of its kind” to be registered in the US.

According to SlashGear, the company teamed up with Lightning eMotors to develop the vehicle, and with several hybrids already in its fleet, it’s planning to transition to a fully-electric service by 2032.

Notably, this electric ambulance produces only 10% of a standard, gas-powered emergency vehicle’s pollutants, making it a far more eco-friendly option than what are currently on the roads.

Also, as the firm pointed out, with lower fuel costs and maintenance, this new initiative could translate into lower costs for patients. 

“Our ‘Zero Emission’ Initiative exemplifies how DocGo is revolutionizing the delivery of mobile medical care, and building a company that’s better for our patients, for our care providers, for our customers, and for the planet,” said the firm’s founder, Stan Vashovsky.
