OnlyFans Introduces Fund For Budding Creators In Fashion

Once again inching away from a reputation for almost exclusively hosting adult content, OnlyFans has announced a Creative Fashion Fund intended as “a launchpad” for up-and-coming designers, creators, and stylists hoping to excel in the world of fashion.
The irony that OnlyFans is financing putting clothes onto people’s bodies shouldn’t be lost on discerning eyes. The platform, however, has pulled in industry hotshots for street cred.
The program will be judged by celebrity stylists Law Roach and Maeve Reilly, alongside makeup artist Sir John, with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff enlisted as a mentor. Meanwhile, Too Hot to Handle star Francesca Farago has been roped in as the initiative’s host.
Contestants will vie for a top prize of US$50,000 to help launch their fashion careers, with US$25,000 set aside for each of the two runner-ups.
To apply, rising fashion creators are to show off their five best works via a short-form video. OnlyFans and its panel of judges will then shortlist six people to fly to Los Angeles to be part of the program, which will air on the free and SFW OFTV video platform.
“OnlyFans is a creator-first platform and has always had a commitment to support its creators across a range of verticals. [The fashion fund] is one additional pulse point we’re giving our community around this sentiment,” expresses the company’s CEO Ami Gan.
Rebecca Minkoff, who has an OnlyFans account herself, lauds the program’s goal to “amplify creators within the fashion space while shining a light on how they can harness the power of the platform to foster communities, monetize their content, and engage with their audience."
“All creators are empowered to own their full potential by expressing themselves through the content they develop for their audience,” says Minkoff in a statement published by Paper Magazine. Through her personal account, she lets fashionistas in on her life as an entrepreneur and designer.
