Free ‘Mockover’ Tool Transforms Any Image Into A Realistic Product Mockup

Designers have wasted too much time scouring the web for the right photo to showcase their product or logo. Chances are the perfect image has been sitting in your camera roll, though editing it can be a pain.

If you’ve been going through too many fake shots of people folding their arms and smirking, consider giving this new web app a try. Mockover, created by a former Facebook frontend developer who goes by the name of Sasha Codes, is a free tool that claims to render any image into photorealistic mockup. The technology uses 2D, 3D, and AI processing techniques to warp placeholders according to the forms of a T-shirt, mug, and other objects in a picture.

Mockover is able to mask any pixel of a logo or object into any shape. It can also orient images in non-front facing and non-linear perspectives, as well as naturally blend placeholders into the photo’s lighting and environment.

In the upcoming months, the tool’s creator intends to introduce more image transformation features for added precision, including the ability to easily remove objects from a photo, a smart fill feature, and the option to create smart object masks. You can give Mockover a go here.
