TIME To Produce Kids’ Animation Series Based On NFT Characters

Kids’ first introduction to non-fungible tokens could come from the world of animation. TIME Studios, the television and film production wing of TIME, has announced a new original children’s animated franchise based on cutesy crypto collectibles.
The series is inspired by the littles, a 10,000-piece NFT collection aptly childlike origins. The NFTs, located on the Ethereum blockchain, draw from the daily interactions of Wil and Cas Lee’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and conveys values of “fun, inclusion, and humility,” TIME reports.

“NFTs are allowing us the opportunity to work with diverse creators that cover a broad range of ages and world-views,” details Maria Perez-Brown, Head of Kids & Family at TIME Studios. “Lee reaches into his experience as a young dad, navigating fatherhood while trying to balance a demanding career as an entrepreneur, and provides a wholesome experience through his characters that captures the magical way that young children engage with the world.”
TIME’s president Keith A. Grossman lauds the NFT sphere’s unchartered gold mine for creativity as a reason to “grow our roster of NFT creators” and “[expand] the possibilities that NFTs have to transform entertainment.”
