Loser.com Now Redirects Visitors To Vladimir Putin’s Wikipedia Page
If it wasn’t obvious enough that he isn’t the most well-liked character across the globe right now, Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially been declared a “loser” on the internet with the popular domain name loser.com now redirecting to his Wikipedia page.
According to Mashable, this isn’t the first time loser.com has routed traffic to the page of someone it deems uncouth. In fact, its owner Brian Connelly said he had originally registered the site all the way back in 1995.
It appears, as per the Wayback Machine, that the domain was changed on March 1, with social media users first noticing it the following day.
In the past, loser.com has “honored” various infamous celebrities, including Kanye West and former US President Donald Trump.
However, Connelly has also used the site as a way to raise awareness for issues, such as when it directed the page to Barack Obama’s Wikipedia page in 2008 to encourage votes.
“That wasn’t against Obama’s election!” he had told The Hill.
