If you recently updated your iPhone to iOS 15.4 for the new emojis, you may have realized your device’s battery draining more quickly. Thankfully, Apple has issued a fix—iOS 15.4.1—that solves the problem along with a security bug.
According to CNET, there was no shortage of complaints on social media from iPhone users saying their batteries were being depleted, though Apple Support did reply to one user saying it was “normal” for apps and features to “adjust up to 48 hours” after an update.
The company’s release notes stated the new update ensures braille devices will no longer be unresponsive when navigating text or displaying a new alert, and hearing devices made for iPhones will stay connected to third-party apps.
