Nike Ridiculed For Kooky Campaign That Doesn’t Know How To Spell

That’s kooky with two K’s.
Nike, revered for its uplifting and inspiring campaigns, has broken its streak with one that doesn’t land. In its latest advertisement, the sportswear giant tries to teach fans a lesson about spelling and gets schooled in return.
The video, posted on social media, pictures retiring US basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski with the text, “You can’t spell coach without K.” The campaign marks the end of a chapter for Krzyzewski, whose last game concluded with a loss for the Duke Blue Devils against North Carolina in the Final Four.

The clip goes on to name words you apparently can’t spell without the letter K: honor, respect, brotherhood, gold, Cameron, crazies, Durham, family, and legacy.
The video has raised a great deal of konfusion. You could yank the letter K from fans’ keyboards, and they’d still be able to spell all of those things.
It’s a relief spelling isn’t a competitive sport.
