While Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand has catapulted up the fashion ranks, especially after designing Team USA’s official Olympic undergarments, Lizzo has stepped onto the scene with her own take on shapewear.

The three-time Grammy Award winner has launched YITTY, a size-inclusive brand promoting self-love, radical inner confidence, and effortless style, named after her childhood nickname.

Featuring sizes from XS to 6X, the selection will comprise functional designs that boast sexy, non-boring silhouettes, bold colors, and prints that are meant to showcase the very best of your body.

In particular, instead of scaling up a design for a larger size, the brand, which partnered with sportswear group Fabletics, isn’t cutting any corners, and takes extra care to ensure every fit is as flattering as possible.

“Instead of thinking about size in this linear way, we’re thinking about it on a spectrum where everyone is included. Everyone’s size is just their size. It’s not high, it’s not low. It’s not big, it’s not small. It’s just your size,” said Lizzo.

The pop star is taking a unique route in the industry, pushing boundaries to help women embrace their natural curves and contours with body-hugging pieces, rather than restrictive shapewear that forces one to fit into an archetype of beauty.

“I was tired of seeing this sad, restrictive shapewear that literally no-one wanted to wear. I had an epiphany like, ‘who can actually do something about this?’ I decided to take on the challenge of allowing women to feel unapologetically good about themselves again,” she explained.

In total, YITTY spans three distinct collections, starting with ‘NEARLY NAKED’, seamless shapewear designed to prop up natural curves all day. ‘MESH ME’ features smoothing mesh styles that can be worn both as underwear or outerwear, while ‘MAJOR LABEL’ is an assortment of plush lifestyle pieces that can be worn anywhere.

YITTY is now available online and at Fabletics stores nationwide.
