‘Pokémon’ Nail Polish For Kids & Adults Will Get Envious Trainers To Peek At Chu

On the battlefield, Pokémon are undoubtedly the ones who stand out. With that being said, trainers of all ages will no longer have to fade into the background, thanks to these new lacquers that let them flash their nails in the most electric way.

uka, a Japanese sustainable beauty brand, is unleashing six nail polishes for kids and adults. While there’s arguably a missed opportunity to dress them up as Poké Balls, the bottles tastefully feature the silhouettes of six classic monsters, each representing a color, against a minimalist white packaging.

The more neutral browns and dusty blue—represented by Meowth, Eevee, and Piplup respectively—are for the grownups. These happen to be entirely vegan, with more than 60% of their materials coming from plant-based sources. They’re also quick-drying, and a serum infused in the formula keeps nails soft.

Meanwhile, the yellow, pink, and orange hues of Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Scorbunny, are designed for the little ones. They’re water-based and can be easily washed off with hot water.

The kickass nail polishes will retail on May 13 at ¥2,750 (US$22) per bottle.
