Anna Delvey Has Reportedly Not Paid Organizer For Managing Her Art Show

Anna “Delvey” Sorokin, the fake heiress who duped her way into the prolific social circles of New York, has yet to pull her final act as she is now claimed to owe artist Julia Morrison US$8,000 for organizing her art show.

The event was held in the Lower East Side of New York City in March of this year. Named Free Anna, the exhibition showcased artworks produced by 15 artists, including Sorokin herself with work she had done while in prison. 

Morrison found inspiration in the life of Sorokin after her mother, too, found herself detained by the ICE and she says that she only ever wanted to see the good in people. Unfortunately, that good faith seems to have been taken advantage of by the famous scammer.

Morrison also claims that Sorokin has since blocked her number after being asked to be refunded on expenses spent on the framing, scanning, and t-shirts made for the exhibition. 

Alfredo Martinez, an associate of Sorokin who co-curated the show, assures that Morrison will get paid in due time. However, word from Sorokin’s spokesperson, per the New York Post, indicates that Sorokin was not responsible for the expenses Morrison spent on the exhibit. The spokesperson also went on to say that Sorokin did not promise Morrison any money and that her claims were baseless. 

Morrison is also being cut out of another Anna Delvey art project called Allegedly that was held by art dealer Chris Martine, who also represents Martinez and Sorokin. She says she was promised a cut of the profits from the show but has since been met with silence when reaching out to Martine.
