Amazon is seeking to expand its presence in designer fashion by bringing its Luxury Stores concept to the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Amazon’s Luxury Stores was first launched in America in 2020.
The first brand to join was Oscar de la Renta, followed by Prada Group’s Car Shoe, La Perla, and Roland Mouret. The service was initially brought to customers as invite-only.
Amazon offers brands a unique position in the market with fast and free shipping. Brands will have full control over inventory, pricing, and selection of items.
The labels being brought to Amazon Luxury Stores are Elie Saab, Christopher Kane, Mira Mikati, Boglioli, Rianna + Nina, and Altuzarra. Amazon is launching ready-to-wear collections from these brands and will be introducing more fashion and beauty brands to the e-store.
This further expands Amazon’s dive into fashion. Amazon Fashion launched Local Label Hub last May, which promotes small and medium fashion brands from the UK.
