In an effort to celebrate peace and freedom for all, UNIQLO has launched a new initiative to raise money for charities “that provide humanitarian aid to those affected by poverty, discrimination, violence, conflict and natural disasters.”

Titled ‘PEACE FOR ALL’, the project uses UT tees to rally peace, with profits from the T-shirt sales to fund charitable organizations.

Designed by renowned professionals in the fields of art, architecture, literature, and science, the T-shirts stand as a movement to promote peace and unity. It hopes to highlight the plight of those forcefully displaced from their homes as well as shed light on other marginalized communities.

Featuring creations by esteemed names such as novelist Haruki Murakami, model Ines de la Fressange, architect Tadao Ando, CEO of SAMURAI INC. Kashiwa Sato, and physician Shinya Yamanaka,  each design expressed the call for peace with a unique style—for instance, Murakami conveyed peace for all humans and cats under a kitty doodle.

“All profits from sales, no less than 20% of the sales price of each shirt, to organizations that provide humanitarian aid,” according to Fast Retailing, parent company of UNIQLO.

In the coming weeks, UNIQLO expects more esteemed creators to support the cause, with the rollout of more designs.
