Porsche Dips Into Ice Creams With Treats Inspired By Its Car Paint Colors

Ice cream and cars are not a combination one often sees but when Porsche teamed up with a small-batch creamery from Chicago to create a new line of ice creams, it might just have you racing down to pick some up for yourself.   

In celebration of National Ice Cream day, Porsche Cars North America has released a fast way to cool down during the summer, collaborating with Pretty Cool Ice Cream to create this icy array of desserts.

The popsicles come in five different colors taken straight out of Porsche’s Paint to Sample catalog, with the team selecting hues they felt could double as ice cream.

‘Mint Green’ sports mint chocolate ice cream in a white chocolate shell, resembling Porsche’s mint-green cars. Meanwhile, the ‘Strawberry Red’ ice cream is dipped in a strawberry red shell made from real frozen strawberries.

‘Frozen Berry Metallic’ is a black raspberry ice cream that has been put into a metallic chocolate Ruby shell, and ‘Macadamia Metallic’ is a roasted macadamia ice cream with a chocolate shell. Finally, there’s the ‘Lime Gold Metallic’, which is a key lime pie-flavored ice cream with a sparkling lime gold caramel coating.  

Porsche Cars North America’s Vice President Ayesha Coker says in a press release that this was just a fun project for fans of the brand. She also mentions that the team worked extremely closely with Pretty Cool Ice Cream to make sure the shades were identical to Porsche’s colors.   

The ice creams are only available for a limited time via the Pretty Cool Ice Cream shop but will make their rounds at a few Porsche events later in the year. Beyond that, you will have to be pretty speedy if you want to get your hands on them.
