Snapchat Arrives On The Web, With Core Features A Mouse Click Away

Snapchat is making its way to your web browser, bringing key feature like video calls and chat to your desktop.

Snapchat for Web will first be available to Snapchat+ members in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Following that, the social media company intends to expand to Snapchat+ users in Europe and the Middle East, before making the feature available to all users worldwide.

The web app brings Chat Reply, Chat Reactions, photos, videos, video calling, and regular calling online. In the near future, Snap also hopes to introduce Lenses on the web. Messages will continue to be sent within the same 24-hour time frame. 

To get started with Snapchat for Web, go to web.snapchat.com and sign in. After completing the two-step verification process, you can begin using Snapchat on your laptop. When you use it in the browser, your Bitmoji will appear with a laptop to indicate that you are using the web version.

Snap stated that the decision to bring its app to the web was made after discovering that many of its users frequently use the call options. And, after receiving an overwhelming amount of feedback requesting easier access to the app via a desktop, it is finally giving the people what they want.
