Confectionery maker Candy Funhouse is offering a totally sweet position: Chief Candy Officer. That’s right, Candy Officer.

The position is a delicious opportunity that crowns the employee as a professional candy taste-tester. A few of its perks include a six-figure salary and extensive dental care.

As if the job couldn’t get any tastier, the lucky hire can work entirely from the comfort of their own home, where candy will be sent to them for testing.

The decision to base the position remotely was made to provide them with a more comfortable environment to test treats without any judgment. It opens the person up to be completely honest about their remarks without holding back on crucial criticism.

As part of their training, the new candy-tester will be sent for palate coaching to give them a better understanding of taste.

Some of the other job requirements from the role include: having to taste over 3,500 sweets a month; deciding which products Candy Funhouse should carry to market; running candy board meetings; and having fun! Though, with so many sugary treats to try a month, the deal may be just a tad too sickly sweet for those that are health-conscious.

The company cites qualities such as being a leader, being creative, and, of course, having a sweet tooth as part of its criteria.

It also states that no experience is required as it would seem like the company is interested in hearing opinions from every age group. It is open to hiring anyone age five and up, making this potentially one of the sweetest after-school jobs a kid could get.

The sugar-coated position is offering a total of CA$100,000 (US$77,430) annually, to essentially sit on your couch and snack. What’s not to love?

The sweets manufacturer is opening the position on LinkedIn and on its website until August 31 and is looking for someone either based in Toronto, Canada, or Newark, New Jersey.
