Smile, You’re On YouTube—Google Meet Brings Meetings To Video Platform

Google Meet is getting the ultimate broadcasting update: the ability to livestream on YouTube. This new feature allows the general public to sit in on your company’s Meet conference and listen in on what is being discussed. 

  
In essence, Google wants to enable businesses to reach out to their audience and organization at large and invite people to meetings. Additionally, it makes disseminating information to the general public simpler. 
  
In its press release, it states that the move will enable attendees to pause, rewind, review, and access seminars at a later time. 

The feature will be managed by an administrator designated to facilitate the meeting. Before these video chats may be aired, the initiator’s YouTube channel must be given permission to host livestreams. The YouTube approval process could take up to 24 hours. 
  
In the user’s settings, additional restrictions, including the length of livestreams hosted on a channel, can be modified. A list of prerequisites and procedures that must be followed before your first livestream has also been supplied by Google. 

Customers of Google Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching and Learning Upgrade will be able to access the feature. Subscribers to Workplace Individual and Google One Premium in select countries will also be able to use the new livestreaming service. 
  
Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Education Standard, Education Fundamentals, Frontline, Nonprofits, Legacy G Suite Basic, and Business subscription holders won’t have access to it, though.
