As Louis Vuitton’s men’s artistic director, the late Virgil Abloh dreamed up a whole visionary world for the Maison. Many of those aspects are still waiting to be unlocked.

One of them is the LV Dove 40MM Reversible Belt, recently unleashed for the luxury house’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection. For the belt’s gold/silver centerpiece, Abloh reinterpreted its monogram with a dove in flight as the letter ‘V’ part of the buckle.

The avian ‘V’, dramatically depicted with stretched-out wings, is seen carrying an olive branch in its beak, a symbol of peace and innocence in many cultures.

The time-honored accessory, priced at US$950, is now shoppable in stores and online in brown and gray colorways.
