Great White Shark Meet-And-Greet May Be Your Worst Nightmare Or Dream Come True
While most of people would only ever want to meet a Great White through the screen of a television, there are some courageous individuals who would jump at the chance to see these apex predators face to face.
Now, shark-tracking organization OCEARCH is giving you an opportunity to accompany researchers on an upcoming research expedition through a sweepstakes. If you’ve been dreaming about swimming with sharks forever, here’s your chance.
OCEARCH is a nonprofit organization that studies sharks by tagging them, enabling scientists to follow their travel and migration patterns. The agency’s official site says it does this in hopes of accelerating “the ocean’s return to balance and abundance.”
The grand winner of the competition will walk away with a five-day trip for two, on which you’ll get to meet and tag a Great White in person, receive roundtrip air transportation, and an extra US$500 in cash.
