New York City’s Most Expensive Hotel Opens Its Doors—Take A Peek Inside
If you’re looking for an ultra-luxurious getaway in the Big Apple, look no further than Aman New York. The Swiss hospitality brand has finally made its highly-anticipating entrance into the Big Apple, opening its doors on the upper floors of the iconic Crown Building in Manhattan.
Guests will get to choose from 83 suites—all designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects—11 of which can be reconfigured to fit larger parties, in addition to two signature suites that include a dining area, kitchenette, and even walk-in closets.
According to Robb Report, elevated palates won’t be left disappointed either, with the property offering two dining locales. Arva serves up hearty Italian meals crafted from seasonal produce, while Nama is an intimate spot featuring the freshest omakase.
Of course, no luxury staycation is complete without a trip to the spa. The Aman Spa doesn’t skimp on space, with the entire setup taking up three of the hotel’s floors. Within, you’ll find a 65-foot pool, ten treatment rooms, and a fitness center to get your sweat on.
For a couple’s day in, guests can book one of two private Spa Houses, comprising a double treatment room, sauna, cold plunge pool, steam room, and an outdoor terrace to kick back and relax.
There are two ways to get into this exclusive getaway. First, there’s the Aman Club, a members-only retreat that allows you access to a private garden terrace, cigar lounge, and wine room—though Bloomberg reported chi chi locals paid US$100,000 in initiation fees to join, with the sign-up having since doubled.
Secondly, if you’re just looking to give it a whirl for the night, premier suites can be booked starting at US$3,200 a night, though if you’re thinking of upgrading to a larger studio, those can only be added on as an adjoining option to the US$20,000 corner suites.
The brand is slated to open two more locations in Miami Beach and Beverly Hills in the near future.
