Lululemon Accidentally Created The It-Backpack For Dogs

Dogs have come a long way from going out on hunts and fighting wars. These days, they won’t have to lift so much as a toenail and will still be loved just the same.
The reliance on human companions might be endearing—but if you’re looking to instill some independence in your pooch in a way that would make its wolf ancestors proud, then your first step might be to make it carry its own belongings. Thankfully, there’s a backpack that’s just the right size for canines.

It turns out that the very same store gym rats go to get their leggings and tank tops also has essentials for dogs, Refinery29 reports. While designed for humans, Lululemon’s City Adventurer Backpack Nano (US$34) has been a staple for puppers, thanks to TikTok.
The teeny-tiny bag is no stranger to the video-sharing platform, where stylish pooches have been sighted carrying snacks and toys—slightly lightening the load of their humans and once again doing their part as man’s best friend. When clipped onto a dog harness, the adorable miniature backpack adds just enough room to pack in treats and your pup’s favorite tennis ball.
Pro tip: It’s also great for carrying poop bags. What’s next? Will dogs learn to clean up after themselves too?
On the listing on Lululemon’s website, reviewers have praised the Nano backpack for its unintentional dog-friendly design. “This is perfect for my little doggie to have on her harness so she can carry her own treats and poop bags,” writes one customer.
“Perfect for your material gworl dogs,” declares another.
Meanwhile, others point out that the backpack is practical for humans too, in spite of its size. One shares that it’s “a great size” for keys and wireless earbuds, while another says they use it as a pocket to hold their jewelry to go from work to working out. The accessory is built with a carabiner to be attached to a larger bag or pouch for extra space.
One person even admits to borrowing their dog’s backpack on occasion to use it as “a quick-access bag to hold cards/keys… instead of digging around in my normal handbag.”
Owners who wish to match their pets’ hiking outfits will be pleased to know that the same backpack arrives in larger (but still compact) Mini and Micro options, in addition to a regular size.
