Would you like to pick a stranger’s brain, and then expand on it?

As discovered by Boing Boing, there’s a new website called Infinite Chapters that invites strangers of the internet to write a book together.

Only two chapters—or, rather, paragraphs—have been published so far. It follows someone named Jack (for now) who wakes up marooned on an island. There’s also a seagull named Samuel whose “friends call him Sammy.”

Whether the tale ends up being a page-turner depends on how imaginative its makers are. That’s the beauty of human nature and anonymous collaboration; it can either turn out wonderful or dark pretty quickly.

If one of your dreams is to be a published author, you can continue the story here.
