Hardee’s Releases Beer Crafted With Made-From-Scratch Biscuits

September signals the beginning of fall… and well, National Biscuit Month. To mark the special occasion, Hardee’s has teamed up with Nashville-based brewery Southern Grist Brewing Co to turn its famed biscuits into beer. 

From September 1, 2022, fans of the fast-food chain will be able to sip on the special-edition Strawberry Biscuit Ale, infused with 200 pounds of the savory bites and hints of strawberry jam and buttermilk. 

According to the restaurant, creating a biscuit-flavored beverage was no easy task, and it took months of planning and trials to concoct the perfect mix—a delectable brew that can be enjoyed by both sets of fans. 

“After a few rounds of testing, Southern Grist nailed it. An amazing crushable beer with subtle notes of fresh-baked biscuits, buttermilk, and strawberry jelly,” explained CKE Restaurants Vice President of Global Culinary Innovation, Owen Klein. 

“All it took was a few hundred pounds of Made From Scratch Biscuits,” he added. 

The Strawberry Biscuit Ale will be available at the Southern Grist Brewing Co Taproom in Nashville, and will be shipped to select regions nationwide. Head over here for more information.
