Razor Unveils Electric Scooter That Can Carry Groceries—Or A Friend—On Its Back
Electric scooters have disrupted the transportation industry, offering a portable new way to get around. And though mopeds are mainly used by individuals to zip from one place to another, Razor is now giving riders the option to scoot themselves and one friend around.
Beyond kick-scooters, Razor is branching into a new area of scooters… disguised as electric bicycles.
The ‘EcoSmart Cargo’ comes with a seat for adult riders to sit on during long-haul journeys through town, along with a configurable back area that can be used for belongings, or even as a passenger seat.
Being able to reach a top speed of 20 mph with its 1000-watt motor, the EcoSmart Cargo is primed to be one of Razor’s fastest e-scooters. It will come with a 46.8V battery pack that allows it to cruise for a distance of 16.6 miles, or 50 minutes, on a single charge.
The bottom deck of the scooter is made from bamboo, and superwide tires provide easy riding.
Riding around on mopeds may be an easy way to dash through cities or supermarkets, but the lack of storage space may have deterred many from making the splurge. The EcoSmart Cargo could finally convince people to opt for this user-friendly and eco-friendly transportation alternative.
The e-vehicle, recommended for people older than 18, is being sold on the Razor website for US$1,100.
