US Navy Says UFO Clips Will Be Classified As They May ‘Harm National Security’

The US Navy has just shut the door on UFO proponents by denying a Freedom of Information Act request to access all its videos of “unidentified aerial phenomena.” 

Despite the Pentagon creating an entire investigation office to look into UFOs, and a Congress report implying it didn’t believe all sightings were “manmade,” it appears the Navy isn’t on board with the growing hunt for extraterrestrial life, saying that releasing any additional clips would potentially “harm national security.” 

Authorities told The Black Vault—a government transparency site—that “no portions of the videos can be segregated for release” as they may provide the country’s adversaries with information about defense operations. 

“While three UAP videos were released in the past, the facts specific to those three videos are unique in that those videos were initially released via unofficial channels before official release,” the Navy said, referring to the clips that were previously leaked by former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge. 

“Those events were discussed extensively in the public domain; in fact, major news outlets conducted specials on these events. Given the amount of information in the public domain regarding these encounters, it was possible to release the files without further damage to national security,” it explained. 

The Navy certainly isn’t denying the existence of more videos that are stashed away somewhere, but is essentially saying it doesn’t plan to make that information available to the public anytime soon. 

Will we ever find out the real cause behind these strange aerial phenomena?
