Right-Wing Social Network Parler Starting ‘Cancel Culture’-Proof Cloud Services

Parler, a Trump-era social platform popular with right-wing voices, recently announced it has bought over a cloud company in order to expand its services to businesses that mainstream providers may not be willing to serve. 

According to TechCrunch, the app now comes under Parlement Technologies, a newly-formed parent company that will be led by Parler’s current CEO George Farmer. 

Farmer told the Wall Street Journal that the firm was “talking to a large range of conservative businesses” that could potentially tap on its new cloud services.

Calling his vision “the uncancellable economy,” Farmer explained the company wanted to aid businesses that faced backlash for their opinions or political ideologies, similar to the social platform’s branding as a “free-speech alternative” to the usual networks. 

Aside from the social media app and cloud-based services, Parlement Technologies will likely integrate DeepRedSky, its online marketplace for conservative NFTs, into the Parler ecosystem in the near future.
