If there’s one sportsperson that’s rightfully earned the title of trendsetter, it’s Sir Lewis Hamilton. The Formula 1 racer’s love of fashion is well-known, with him showing up in creative looks every race weekend.
Thus, it was only natural for seven-time champion to start his very own +44 clothing line, following several collaborations with luxury fashion houses Tommy Hilfiger and Valentino.
Now, famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has come on board for the brand’s latest launch, which will feature the painter’s signature bold and vibrant colors, and traditional techniques.
At the moment, not much has been revealed about the upcoming collection, though Highsnobiety noted it’s likely to include T-shirts, hoodies, and a jacket “with dreamy twists to race-inspired graphics.”
The publication reported the capsule will center around the idea of a “Psychedelic Speed Demon,” interpreted in Murakami’s style; with each piece said to be reflective of the duo’s “shared passion” for the unique and different.
