Volvo Speeds Into The Feels With Humorous Spot Of Trucks In Romance

Love comes in all shapes and sizes, and Volvo is proving this with a beautiful commercial showing two of its trucks falling in love.

The video opens with one of the lovelorn trucks waiting at a gas stop, despairingly looking out onto the interstate. Then suddenly, another hunky vehicle drives by and catches its eye. Together, the two journey down the open roads, while George Benson’s Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You plays in the background. 
 

So what spurred the company to turn to puppy love between its vehicles? The advertisement, created by advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors, ends with a quote that states, “Finally fun meets efficiency,” highlighting that fuel efficiency and performance are no longer on either side of the conversation but can work together in harmony.

Eventually, the vehicles shoot up in a pink sky, and their happily ever after is depicted with the trucks on a beach at sunset.

The campaign promotes the Volvo FH with I-Save division, which includes the Turbo Compound engine, I-Shift, I-See, and I-Torque.
 
Volvo drivers Johan Brorsson and Mikael Rosell performed the stunts, while a team of VFX artists accomplished the more complex sequences, such as the trucks leaping into the air.
