It’s been a frigid season in the crypto market, with currencies plummeting and the sheen of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) fading. However, one actor has proven that all may not be lost for digital tokens—his inaugural collection sold out in just seven minutes.
Actor Anthony Hopkins first joined the NFT community when he starred in the 2021 film Zero Contact, released on the platform Vuele. Now, it seems like he’s deepening his reach into the digital token world with the launching of The Eternal Collection.
More than 1,000 unique pieces in this digital art display depict Hopkins’ colorful career in Hollywood and the eclectic range of characters he has played over the years, including everything from Hannibal Lecter to Odin in Thor.
Within the collection are pieces titled The Eternal, The Jester, and The Lover, as each archetype looks back to different chapters in his career and uses his life and work as inspiration.
The NFTs were curated by Orange Comet, a Los Angeles-based Web 3 design agency, and hosted on OpenSea.
However, art wasn’t the only thing that fans could get their hands on during the launch. A chance to win a one-on-one brunch with the actor, signed merchandise, and audio recordings of Hopkins discussing the meaning behind each archetype.
