Horse Kicks are turning stallions into the drippiest in the stable, decking them in everything from YEEZYs to New Balances and Nikes.
The line of customized sneakers is the brainchild (or brainfoal) of The Shoe Surgeon alumni Marcus Floyd. Floyd had previously studied the deconstruction and reconstruction of shoes and decided to take his expertise out to the pastures.
The shoemaker took beloved silhouettes and customized them into hoof-wear to be fitted comfortably over the trotters of horses.
If you are in the market to saddle up with new kicks for your stallion, the Lexington, Kentucky-based studio states that each will be custom-made to perfectly fit the animal’s hooves and the owner’s aesthetic desires.
Despite this, the company has already created an inaugural lineup of shoes inspired by Fragment x Air Jordan 1 High, ‘Court Purple’ Jordan 1, and ‘Dazzling Blue’ Adidas YEEZY Boost 350 V2.
The range can be bought via the Sneaker Ball Lex charity event auction, which will be held on November 12.
Regular custom orders begin at US$1,200 per hoof, with 10% of the cost going to Sneaker Ball charities.
Those wishing to view the kicks in person can head down to a popup shop coming to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships in Kentucky on November 4 and 5.
The brand states that it is the first online retailer of horse sneakers in the world and aims to put thoroughbreds onto the fashion stage by giving equestrians a chance to put their steed’s best hoof forward.
