Dior got a Vespa, and now Gucci is also up to speed. With a bevy of classic Italian automakers still waiting around, the luxury house has called dibs on Moto Guzzi (it’s been in the name all along).
The two Italian powerhouses have teamed up with London’s Palace Skateboards to roll out an aesthetically-driven motorcycle. The special-edition Moto Guzzi V7 Stone is part of the head-turning Palace Gucci streetwear capsule launching on October 21.
The motorbike is dressed in woodland camouflage—a signature of the Palace brand—though make no mistake that it will go unnoticed on the road. Its dark brown leather saddle is lavishly etched in Gucci’s beloved ‘Guccissima’ monogram, while its saddle bags continue the theme with a co-branded Palace x Gucci camo print.
The three-in-one design is framed by the V7 Stone’s usual matte-black detailings, with the shade splashed across its mirrors, wheels, headlight bezel, and so on. At the same time, “the steadfast Moto Guzzi golden eagle stands proudly on the tank,” says Moto Guzzi.
According to Highsnobiety, only 50 of these exclusive Moto Guzzi V7 Gucci Palace bikes will ever take to the road. The entire Palace Gucci range will debut on the Gucci Vault webstore on October 21, before reaching Gucci locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok.
The original V7 Stone is priced at US$8,990, but be very prepared to shell out a Gucci premium for the limited rendition that’s dressed to the nines.
