1960s Mini Moke Popularized By The Beatles Is Back As Electric
The Mini Moke, a staple among British pop royalty such as The Beatles, Bridgitte Bardot, and Michael Kane, made its mark on the automotive market as an open-air cruiser fit for the summer.
MOKE International is revitalizing its stake and bringing the classic favorite back to British and American roads—after it was last sold in the US 40 years ago—with an electric version, the ‘Electric Moke’.

The Moke achieved a cult-like status after only 50,000 were ever built, half of which were stationed in Australia. It was first created for military purposes before the rich and famous got their hands on it and rode it to the beach.
Now, it serves vacationers and surfers looking for a fun and easy way to get around during the summer.

Its new fully-electric form is set to erase its gas-powered sibling. It can travel 74 miles on a single charge and can rev up to a top speed of 49 mph. So, it isn’t exactly a speed demon, but its roofless and doorless design is bound to make you the grooviest person at the beach.
The car comes in its signature baby blue as well as other colors including orange, yellow, and gray.
Moke was initially an American brand, but it found greater success across the pond and down under instead. Upon its homecoming, it will be marketed as the ‘Moke Californian’.
Sales will begin in a few weeks when the prices will be announced for the American market. Those living in England can pre-order their Mokes for £990.
