Banksy’s ‘Ex-Girlfriend’ Shares Never-Before-Seen Works Allegedly From Him
It’s not unusual to keep hold of memorabilia from time spent with past lovers, but most of it doesn’t significantly increase in value over the years.
That isn’t the case for an anonymous woman claiming to be Banksy’s ex-girlfriend, who has loaned six never-before-seen works from the artist’s early days to The Art of Banksy exhibition.
According to the Independent, these drawings include a handmade birthday card, flyers, and a board for her corset shop from when they were allegedly a couple from 1994 to 1998.

It’s important to note, however, that the graffiti artist himself isn’t linked with the traveling show, one of many unauthorized displays of his work. As per Pest Control, Banksy’s authenticator, the painter “has nothing to do with any of the current or recent exhibitions.”
Michael Boersma, the founder of GTP Entertainment, the firm behind the exhibition, said he had established the authenticity of these “early works” with Banksy’s alleged ex-girlfriend.
Furthermore, he revealed that speaking with her shed light on the early life of the renowned artist and their time together. If the six artworks are indeed from Banksy, it would be a “completely unknown and highly personal” glimpse into the mysterious painter.
Other works on display include 145 authenticated pieces created from 2002 to 2017, including famed paintings Girl With Balloon, Flower Thrower, and Brace Yourself.
The latest installment of the exhibition, together with the new pieces, will be on view at MediaCity in Salford, England, from now till January 8, 2023.
