Not even the Mona Lisa might be privy to the lesser-known parts of her home—and as a resident of the Louvre for 225 years, she’s definitely seen things.

Pinterest and the Louvre Museum have teamed up and produced an original video series called A Look at the Louvre. The 10-video feature will take art lovers “off the beaten path” to uncover collections, rooms, staircases, and courtyards they may not be aware of.

The series aims to present fresh perspectives of the museum, while giving viewers a chance to glimpse at the institution’s fine interiors from their homes.

Johan Gipch, Content & Creator Partnerships at Pinterest in Southern Europe, describes that Pinterest and the Louvre make lovely collaborators, as the app’s instinct for endless inspiration and exploration aligns with the museum’s. Art also happens to be one of the most popular interests on Pinterest, Gipch adds.

Considering the show’s global allure, A Look at the Louvre is being showcased in the French and English languages as well as highlighted on Pinterest’s ‘Daily Inspirations’ section in France, Italy, the US, the UK, Spain, and Japan.

The first five videos are now available to watch on the Louvre’s official Pinterest page, with the next half poised to roll out in the first quarter of 2023.
