Apple Lightens Up iCloud Web With A More Streamlined Look

Apple’s iCloud Web goes under a redesign as the old browser version is thrown out for a newer, more sleek look.
 
The current version presents users with a grid of apps to choose from. Unfortunately, there isn’t much else to the portal, and you’ll have to navigate solely through the homepage.
 
The new beta version, accessed at beta.icloud.com or through a link on the current site, opens up its usability by placing widgets of apps onto your homepage instead of just its icons.

Furthermore, you can customize your grid to feature all your most essential apps, including but not limited to Calendar, iCloud Drive, Mail, and Photos. Users can move the widgets around and add or delete some off the page through a ‘Customize Home Page’ toggle.
 
While the portal may not be everyone’s main browser of choice, its primary purpose serves to aid those using non-Apple products to retrieve data efficiently. As such, the redesign could help streamline functionality and continuity as well.
 
It is not known when the site’s official launch will be just yet, but from playing around with the site for a while, it looks like it is still in its early testing stages.
