Jeep Calls On Fans To Help Name Its Upcoming Electric Wagoneer

Finding the perfect name for a baby or pet can take time and effort, as can deciding what to call a new product in a lineup.
 
So, to ease the pain of shuffling through an endless sea of names, Jeep is asking for help from its fans to come up with a moniker fit for its new EV.
 
Currently, the car goes by ‘Wagoneer S’, where, according to the company, the “S” stands for “speed, striking, and sexy.” Seeing this, it is no wonder it needs help with a name.

The choice of the moniker will be part of a competition held by the brand on social media, where it will also present suggestions and guidelines for the public to consider when naming the new vehicle. This could prove to be wise, as Driving recalls the UK holding a similar contest for a research ship, which resulted in the poll going in favor of the name Boaty McBoatface.
 
If you’re considering entering the competition, here are some of its specs to get you started. The Wagoneer S is a two-row SUV that is slightly smaller than the previous Grand Cherokee. It has 600 horsepower, and when fully charged, it can run for up to 400 miles.

The competition is set to begin in November as the brand is looking for a name by December, ahead of reservations opening in early 2023.
