Google Rolls Out Beta That Lets You Play Android Games On PC In Several Markets

Casual gamers now have one more device to play puzzlers from. On Tuesday, Google’s Android Developers team announced that it is rolling out the beta version of Google Play Games, a launcher that lets users play Android games on the PC, to more markets around the world.

The option, first announced in January, was previously limited to places like Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand and featured 50 titles; now, it has expanded to 85 games with availability in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Players in these markets can now access titles like 1945 Air Force; Blade Idle; Cookie Run: Kingdom; and Evony: The King’s Return on their desktops and play them with their keyboard and mouse.

Google says it has also reduced the minimum spec requirements to PCs running Windows 10+ with an integrated graphics card and 4+ core CPU, as opposed to the more powerful gaming-class GPU and 8-core CPU.

The company notes that while its goal is to enable seamless syncing across signed-in devices, “our broader goal continues to be meeting players where they are and giving them access to their games on as many devices as possible.”
