WhatsApp Chat Groups Can Soon Be Combined To Form ‘Communities’
WhatsApp users will soon be able to access new features, including one known as ‘Communities’, which will allow users to combine related group chats “under one umbrella.”
The tool, which will be rolled out in the coming months, enables users to create smaller group chats within a community, and switch between the different groups with ease.
At the same time, admins of these larger communities will be equipped with “powerful new tools” to better manage them, such as broadcast announcements and the ability to add new groups.
For example, parents living in the same neighborhood could form a community for their kids, with separate groups created for the different schools the children are enrolled in.
In addition, the messaging application will be introducing several other features. Users will now be able to create in-chat polls, host video calls with 32 people, and include up to 1,024 users in a single group.
