Garmin’s Latest Hybrid Watch Uses The Sun To Stay Powered Up For Over Two Months

Garmin is introducing a new addition to its lineup of rugged outdoor watches with the ‘Garmin Instinct Crossover’.
 
Like others in its Instinct lineup, it’s a hybrid watch that marries analog features with smart functions like tracking heart rate and sleeping patterns. But unlike its siblings, this new version can remain powered up for up to 70 days in its smartwatch mode thanks to solar power. And when used in the battery-saving setting, it can last just about… forever.

Here are more specs: it has 10 ATM water resistance and features sleep tracking, Body Battery, and stress monitoring. It can also detect fitness age, HRV status, and recovery time after a workout, along with the standard Garmin Pay and Garmin Connect.

To access all of these functions, the analog hand moves out of the way to give you a clear view of the interface.

Its basic version provides GNSS support, TracBack mapping, and ABC sensors to assist individuals venturing into the wild. Furthermore, if you upgrade to the Tactical Edition, you will also get a kill switch, a dual-format GPS, and support for night vision on hand.
 
Garmin is now selling the Instinct Crossover on its website, on its website, starting at a base price of US$499.99. The solar model costs US$549.99, while the Tactical Edition goes for US$599.99.
