If your hope is to unplug from social media, but actually pulling the plug isn’t possible because you use it to promote your brand or work, Instagram’s latest tool could finally help you achieve that. The Meta-owned social network is bringing in-app scheduling to professional accounts, allowing users to click off on their own terms.

Until now, businesses have been relying on third-party services or Meta’s Creator Studio to time their uploads, but the new feature simplifies the process by letting them schedule photos, carousels, and Reels within the Instagram app.

Professional users can locate the option under ‘Advanced Settings’ when they compose a post. The section reveals a new ‘Schedule this post’ setting, where they’ll be able to plan uploads up to 75 days ahead.

In addition, users will be able to look at a roundup of upcoming posts via the ‘Scheduled Content’ screen now available in the hamburger menu.

The company has begun pushing the update, and it will gradually roll out to business accounts around the world in the coming weeks.
