Last year, LVMH unveiled its brand-new US$900 million La Samaritaine mall, where shoppers could snag all the designer goods they’d dream of before heading to the nearby Cheval Blanc Paris hotel.
Now, following in the footsteps of its parent company, Louis Vuitton could be turning its headquarters into a similar complex, complete with its very own hotel. According to WWD, Chairman Michael Burke revealed the plan, which will involve the brand’s largest store to date.
Calling the view from the building—which spans from the Eiffel Tower to the Notre-Dame—“the most spectacular” in the world, the chief explained the idea came from the success of La Samaritaine, which has “radically transformed” the surrounding neighborhood.
The brand won’t just stop at the expansion of Louis Vuitton’s store, as LVMH plans on attracting more offices, stores, residential buildings, restaurants, and other cultural activities to liven up the area and draw in crowds.
Of course, this scale of growth won’t happen overnight, with Burke suggesting that the vision could take at least another decade to fulfill, though the conglomerate is “halfway there” to achieving its final goal.
As per the publication, the luxury fashion house will soon hold an event unveiling a new experiential space, dubbed the LV Dream, as part of its move towards transforming the entirety of its 400,000-square-foot headquarters.
The locale, a 20,000-square-foot exhibition space, will open its doors to the public on December 12, and is slated to stick around for a year. It will house the Maison’s collaborations with guest artists, alongside a gift store, café, and an exclusive chocolatier.
Visitors can enterLV Dream at no cost, but pre-bookings are required to view the exhibitions. Open seven days a week, over 2,000 guests are expected to grace the venue each day. Head here for more information.
