Loewe Technology Finishes Rugged TV In Stone-Like, Recyclable ‘Concrete’

With its latest iteration, German audio company Loewe Technology is thinking outside the concrete box when it comes to television design.

Upon first glance, the Iconic might look like a regular 4K OLED flatscreen, but look closer, and you will see that a great stone structure supports it. The brand describes this as ‘Syno-Stone’, made from a blend of organically-sourced recycled—and fully recyclable—materials to make it look like concrete.
 
The base was constructed by Anders, a material company based in Loewe Technology’s hometown of Kronach, Germany. 

The Iconic is not just a piece of rugged contemporary technology; it also houses impressive specs. It has a 55- or 65-inch display capable of hosting HLG, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. Furthermore, its OLED display produces deep local contrast, intense black levels to make other hues pop, and a wider viewing range, according to the company.
 
Its speakers are embedded into the stone and offer Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and WDAL. If you’re looking for full surround sound, you can hook up two optional wireless front speakers, two rear speakers, and a subwoofer.
 
The television comes in a Graphite Gray and Clay White. Due to its weight, you may need to ask someone from Loewe Technology’s dealership to install it for you.
 
The Iconic will retail for US$9,546.69 and US$7,756.49.
